Volleyball Game Preview: Liberty Chargers vs. Wekiva Mustangs

The Liberty Chargers will face off against the Wekiva Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Wednesday, Liberty came up short against Gateway and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Liberty started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Wekiva lost 3-0 to Innovation on Wednesday.

Wekiva may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Wekiva's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Liberty couldn't quite get it done against Wekiva in their previous matchup on April 1st as they fell 3-1. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
