Basketball Game Preview: Scotus Shamrocks vs. Bishop Neumann Cavaliers

The Scotus Shamrocks will square off against the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Scotus' tournament run continued when they took on Aquinas last Thursday. Scotus blew past Aquinas 66-38. Given the Shamrocks' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Monarchs are ranked 98th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Bishop Neumann's way against Waverly on Thursday as Bishop Neumann made off with a 73-47 victory. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cavaliers had established a 23 point advantage.

Scotus is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Bishop Neumann, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
