Basketball Recap: Nichols' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Nichols needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Tre Paulfrey. The Nichols Vikings secured a 77-71 W over the Corcoran Cougars on Saturday thanks in part to Paulfrey, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

Another player making a difference was Mitchell Masiello, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Those 20 points gave him a new career-high.

Nichols' victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Corcoran, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Nichols didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-40 win against Dunkirk on the 3rd. As for Corcoran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 82-47 defeat against Cicero-North Syracuse on the 7th.
