Mediapolis waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 15 straight wins... but they left with 16. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sigourney Savages a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 15 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Mediapolis pushed their record up to 22-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Sigourney, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mediapolis will challenge Cascade at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sigourney, they will face off against Mt. Pleasant at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
