Baseball Recap: Palmetto Takes a Loss

If Palmetto was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Pickens last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Palmetto fell just short of the Belton-Honea Path Bears by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost five in a row.

Palmetto's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Belton-Honea Path, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-6.

Coming up, Belton-Honea Path is taking a road trip to challenge T.L. Hanna at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. T.L. Hanna will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Belton-Honea Path surely won't give up without a fight. Palmetto will be paying especially close attention to Belton-Honea Path's game: after Belton-Honea Path faces off against T.L. Hanna, they'll take on Palmetto again at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
