Baseball Recap: Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Classical Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Bishop on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2. The Caimans were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Quaid O'Carroll was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 7.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Classical Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Hoff, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Hoff has hit this season.

Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Bishop's, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-10.

While Classical Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
