Basketball Game Preview: Pleasant Home Eagles vs. Florala Wildcats

Having just played yesterday, the Pleasant Home Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Florala Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Florala will be up against a hot Pleasant Home team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went Pleasant Home's way against Kinston on Tuesday as Pleasant Home made off with a 75-51 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 412th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Florala waltzed into their game on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Bulldogs 68-43.

Florala pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Pleasant Home, their record now sits at 14-2.

Things could have been worse for Pleasant Home, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-48 loss to Florala when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Pleasant Home avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
