Baseball Recap: Heritage Christian Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Heritage Christian came out on top against Buckley on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Warriors walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Griffins. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly five runs.

Christian Boldt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cullen Hirtensteiner, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Heritage Christian has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Buckley, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4-1.

Heritage Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-1 victory against Lakeview Charter on the 11th. As for Buckley, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Oakwood on the 15th.
