Baseball Recap: Madison Plains Comes Up Short

Madison Plains was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Northeastern Jets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 11-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Madison Plains saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Evans, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Madison Plains' defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Northeastern, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Madison Plains will welcome West Liberty-Salem at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Northeastern, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Greeneview on the 9th.
