Basketball Game Preview: Camp Verde Cowboys vs. Fountain Hills Falcons

Camp Verde is 1-8 against Fountain Hills since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Camp Verde Cowboys will challenge the Fountain Hills Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Camp Verde has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 190 points over their last three contests.

On Monday, Camp Verde was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 71-67 to Veritas Prep. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (61), the Cowboys still had to take the loss.

Fountain Hills has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-48 heartbreaker at the hands of Phoenix Christian.

Camp Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Fountain Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.

Camp Verde came up short against Fountain Hills in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 59-52. Can Camp Verde avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
