Baseball Recap: Tahoka Comes Up Short

Seagraves hit Tahoka with a seven-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs fell 15-11 to the Eagles. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Dante Garcia and MJ Garcia stepped up to the plate in a big way. Dante went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while MJ got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Kessler, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Tahoka's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Seagraves, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9.

Coming up, Tahoka will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Ropes at 6:00 p.m. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 11.6 runs per game this season. As for Seagraves, they will head out on the road to challenge Sundown at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
