Baseball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sumter Gamecocks. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly three runs.

Jackson Williams made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sumter, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Spring Valley will host Airport at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sumter will be paying especially close attention to the Vikings' matchup: after the Vikings face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Sumter again at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
