Recap: King-Chavez Community Lions vs. San Diego Academy Cavaliers
This season hasn't been kind to the King-Chavez Community Lions, who are still winless after their fourth game. They were dealt a 35-6 defeat at the hands of San Diego Academy on Thursday. King-Chavez Community has not had much luck with San Diego Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
San Diego Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dustin Jewell out in front who scored eight points.
King-Chavez Community's loss was their tenth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.2 points per game. As for San Diego Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.
King-Chavez Community will head out on the road to square off against Monarch on Tuesday. Monarch is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. As for San Diego Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against The Cambridge School at 5:00 p.m. The Cambridge School will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
