Softball Recap: Mercy Bears vs. Mills Vikings

Mercy was the 8-6 winner over Mills when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Mercy Bears fell just short of the Mills Vikings by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday. Mercy just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.

G Ortega and R Lask stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ortega went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs, while Lask went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was A Anderson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, Mercy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
