Soccer Recap: Bethel Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Bethel was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Vallejo Redhawks finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday. The outcome might've been different if Abel Mendoza hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Vicente Melgarejo was the only thing that stood between Bethel and a shutout considering he scored both of Bethel's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Bethel's draw makes their record 0-1-1 this season. Meanwhile, Vallejo's record is now 0-1-1.

Bethel wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 7-0 win against Hercules on the 5th. Vallejo has also already played their next contest, a 6-0 victory against Swett on the 5th.
