Baseball Preview: Sumner Stingrays vs. Alonso Ravens

The Sumner Stingrays will challenge the Alonso Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Sumner proved they can win big on Monday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Steinbrenner 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Stingrays have posted since February 27th.

Eric Farmer was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
