Baseball Recap: Gretna Takes a Loss

Gretna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Dan River Wildcats, falling 9-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 last Monday.

Gretna saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Walden, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Gretna's record is now 2-12. As for Dan River, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gretna will head out to face off against Altavista at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dan River, they will square off against Martinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
