Volleyball Game Preview: McNair Eagles vs. Oak Ridge Trojans

The McNair Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Oak Ridge Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oak Ridge took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on McNair, who comes in off a win.

McNair is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past Enochs 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory McNair has posted since March 5th.

Meanwhile, Oak Ridge suffered their biggest defeat since February 27, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against Folsom, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Trojans couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

While Oak Ridge was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Folsom's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-23.

Oak Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 26-3. As for McNair, they pushed their record up to 15-9 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

McNair suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Oak Ridge in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
