Basketball Recap: Loop Takes a Loss

Loop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sands Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in January.

Loop's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Sands, they pushed their record up to 16-16 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Loop is set to square off against their familiar foe Borden County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sands will face off against rival Dawson at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
