Starr's Mill dropped down to 27-13 on Saturday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Central Lions by a score of  3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  2-0  back in September.
Starr's Mill's offense was headlined by  Sammie Brady and  Holly Harris, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from  Katie Gutshall and her 26 assists.
As for Central, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-9 record  this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory they have posted  since September 20th.
 Central found their leader in sophomore  Julianna Johnston, who  had 20  digs and five assists. Those 20  digs set a new season-high mark for  Johnston.
 Starr's Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central, they will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Northview  at 6:30  p.m.
