Soccer Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mountain Pointe last Thursday, Westwood came back down to earth. The Westwood Warriors lost 9-1 to the Benjamin Franklin Chargers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Chargers are ranked seventh).

Westwood's goal came courtesy of Jocelyn Arreola, who's now up to three this season.

Westwood's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-6-1. As for Benjamin Franklin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1-1.

Westwood didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Empire on the 3rd. As for Benjamin Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against Tanque Verde on the 4th.
