Softball Recap: Urbana Comes Up Short

Urbana lost against Centennial back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 3-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lizzy Lange spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.

At the plate, Urbana saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Harrison, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Urbana's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Centennial, their victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-13.

As of now, neither Urbana nor the Chargers have any future games scheduled.
