Softball Game Preview: Calais Blue Devils vs. George Stevens Academy Eagles

The Calais Blue Devils will square off against the George Stevens Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Calais came up short against Machias on Monday, falling 15-5. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Alexis Bowen was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Addison Ellsmore, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, George Stevens Academy lost 10-2 to Narraguagus on Monday.

George Stevens Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Calais, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Calais was able to grind out a solid victory over George Stevens Academy in their previous matchup back in April, winning 13-10. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
