Recap: Franklin Academy Huskies vs. Norwood-Norfolk Flyers
The Franklin Academy Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 32 points or more this season. They really took it to Norwood-Norfolk for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-27 victory on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Franklin Academy has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Hanna, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zendann Poirier, who scored nine points along with six steals.
Franklin Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Norwood-Norfolk, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Saranac Lake at 7:15 p.m. on December 13th. Saranac Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Franklin Academy is ranked 140th). As for Norwood-Norfolk, they will head out on the road to face off against Massena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
