Softball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-1 to the West Marshall Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 on Thursday.

Perry saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Erickson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Erickson has hit this season.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for West Marshall, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Perry is set to square off against their familiar foe Nevada at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, West Marshall will take on rival Roland-Story at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
