It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Old Colony RVT ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Upper Cape Cod RVT Rams 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won five contests in a row.

Old Colony RVT saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Correia, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Old Colony RVT pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Upper Cape Cod RVT, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5-1.
