Recap: Celeste Blue Devils vs. Honey Grove Warriors
The Celeste Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 52-33 to Honey Grove. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Celeste has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Celeste lost, one person who can't be blamed is Taylea West. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points. That was a full 42.4% of Celeste's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Compton, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Celeste has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-11 record this season. As for Honey Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.
Celeste will head out on the road to face off against Tom Bean at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Honey Grove, they will be playing at home against Bland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
