Softball Recap: Tri-Valley Extends Winning Streak to Three

Tri-Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Tamaqua Blue Raiders. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Blue Raiders two weeks ago, they had to take a 8-2 defeat.

Myah Schwalm spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Tri-Valley's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Tamaqua, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 13-6-1 record.

Tri-Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 win against North Schuylkill on the 15th. As for Tamaqua, they will take on Southern Lehigh at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
