Burton has gone 8-2 against Snook recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Burton Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Snook Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. Burton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Burton's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Milano.

Meanwhile, Snook came up short against Iola on Tuesday and fell 12-7.

Aubrey Becker was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and 11 unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Kalyn Cooper was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Braynija Pool, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Burton's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Snook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-1 record this season.

Burton came out on top in a nail-biter against Snook in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Does Burton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Snook turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
