Baseball Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Wilson's offense. They fell just short of the Governor Mifflin Mustangs by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Wilson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Marmolejos, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Marmolejos hit this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Wilson and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Governor Mifflin, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson will venture away from home to take on Conrad Weiser at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Governor Mifflin, they will head out to face off against Fleetwood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 2.4, the Tigers 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
