Basketball Recap: Berea-Midpark Beats North Ridgeville for Their Third Straight Victory

Berea-Midpark had won two straight games and Tyson Clay did his part to make it three on Friday. The Berea-Midpark Titans came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured an 81-76 W against the North Ridgeville Rangers thanks in part to Clay, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 20 points along with five assists and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Dylan (Diggy) Maddox, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.1% field goal percentage.

Berea-Midpark's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for North Ridgeville, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-13.

Berea-Midpark wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 82-74 victory against Avon Lake on the 10th. As for North Ridgeville, they are taking a road trip to take on Holy Name at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Ridgeville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Holy Name likes a good challenge.
