It was a good run, but Maranatha Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the St. Agnes Aggies by a score of 2-1. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ashley Yost spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks.

Maranatha Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for St. Agnes, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maranatha Christian Academy will square off against St. Croix Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Agnes, they will venture away from home to square off against Le Sueur-Henderson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Giants have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
