Branford has gone a perfect 5-0 against Hawthorne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Buccaneers will take on the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Branford will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Branford's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Wakulla Christian School with a sharp 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Branford's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Troy Roberts, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Hawthorne's offense. They came up short against Williston last Friday, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost six in a row.

Branford pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hawthorne, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Branford has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hawthorne struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Branford's way against Hawthorne in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, as Branford made off with a 15-1 victory. Do the Buccaneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
