Basketball Recap: Monterey Takes a Loss

Monterey pushed their score to 35 the last time they played Jena, but on Tuesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Monterey Wolves took a blow against the Jena Giants, falling 47-13. The matchup marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Monterey is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7. As for Jena, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monterey and Forest will meet in a canine-themed contest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monterey is facing Forest at the right time seeing as Forest is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Jena, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Northwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
