ZaRyah Snell had an outrageously good game as she went 8 for 10 on her way to 20 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Lewis, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine steals.
Somerset Academy Losee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Legacy posted their biggest win since December 9, 2024 on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 70-10 victory over Eldorado. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Firehawks are ranked 97th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Somerset Academy Losee better keep an eye on Alabama Nieves. She was instrumental in Legacy's win, going 11 of 15 on her way to 25 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ajalee Williams, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 12 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Wednesday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Somerset Academy Losee has been crazy accurate this season, having made 58.8% of their field goals per game. However, it's not like Legacy struggles in that department as they've made 48.1% of their shots this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Somerset Academy Losee couldn't quite finish off Legacy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 66-64. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Legacy's Laila Gines, who went 8 of 17 on her way to 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Now that Somerset Academy Losee knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
