Lynnfield won the last time they faced Georgetown and things went their way on Monday too. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-7, 25-12.

Lynnfield found their leader in sophomore Sophie Shaievitz, who had eight aces. Those eight aces set a new season-high mark for Shaievitz. Elliana Moretti was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

Lynnfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 30 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Lynnfield has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Georgetown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Lynnfield will face off against Pentucket Regional at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Georgetown, they will square off against Gloucester at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
