Baseball Game Preview: Waynesboro Little Giants vs. Wilson Memorial Green Hornets

Waynesboro is 0-10 against Wilson Memorial since March of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Little Giants will head out on the road to face off against the Green Hornets at 6:00 p.m.

Waynesboro couldn't beat Fort Defiance on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Little Giants lost 10-4 to the Indians.

Waynesboro saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trenton Carson, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Wilson Memorial entered their tilt with Staunton on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Storm by a score of 7-3.

Wilson Memorial's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Waynesboro, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Waynesboro suffered a grim 11-2 defeat to Wilson Memorial when the teams last played back in April. Can the Little Giants avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
