Softball Recap: Detroit Lakes Takes a Loss

After flying high against Fergus Falls last Tuesday, Detroit Lakes came back down to earth. The Lakers came up short against the Alexandria Cardinals on Tuesday, falling 20-2. The Lakers have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Detroit Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Alexandria, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cardinals beat Detroit Lakes by a score of 8-5 later that day.
