Preview: Catholic Central Crusaders vs. Lansingburgh Knights

The Catholic Central Crusaders will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Lansingburgh Knights at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Catholic Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.

Catholic Central can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They really took it to Cobleskill-Richmondville for the full four quarters, racking up a 93-54 victory at home. Catholic Central's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Catholic Central found their leader in underclassman Darien Moore, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. Moore hasn't dropped below 15points for ten straight games. Xavjon Arroyo was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six assists and six steals.

Meanwhile, Lansingburgh earned a 63-51 win over Ichabod Crane last Wednesday. 63 seems to be a good number for Lansingburgh as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Catholic Central's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.3 points per game. As for Lansingburgh, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Catholic Central didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lansingburgh when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 65-59 victory. Does Catholic Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lansingburgh turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
