Skyview is 8-1 against Thornton since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Skyview Wolverines will host the Thornton Trojans at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Skyview has ten straight victories, Thornton has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Skyview is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Gateway: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Skyview blew Gateway out of the water with a 65-29 final score. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Veronica Munoz had a dynamite game for Skyview, going 5-for-8 to rack up 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. That's the most boards Munoz has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Lucero, who went 5-for-12 en route to 12 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Thornton ended up a good deal behind Aurora Central on Tuesday and lost 39-23.

Skyview pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 36.4% in those games and 24.1% outside of them. As for Thornton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Everything came up roses for Skyview against Thornton in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured a 66-23 victory. In that game, Skyview amassed a halftime lead of 33-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
