Volleyball Recap: Manual Takes a Loss

If Manual was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Denver West last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Manual Thunderbolts lost 3-0 to the Thomas Jefferson Spartans on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Manual lost, don't look at Danny Flores. Despite the final result, he had 23 digs. Flores is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least 20 every time he's taken the court this season.

Manual's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Thomas Jefferson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Manual wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Denver Waldorf on the 19th. As for Thomas Jefferson, they are taking a road trip to challenge Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Legacy will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Thomas Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight.
