Basketball Recap: Tristan Pate's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Spring Creek over North Duplin + How To Watch

Spring Creek was the 61-53 winner over North Duplin when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gators took a 76-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels on Tuesday.

Spring Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tristan Pate, who posted nine points and three blocks. Pate has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Ethan Rivers was another key player, putting up nine points.

North Duplin found their leader in sophomore Jae'Lyn Ingram, who had 18 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Bennett, who scored ten points.

Spring Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Duplin, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Spring Creek will challenge James Kenan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Gators' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. North Duplin has already played their next matchup (against Clinton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
