Volleyball Recap: Baldwyn Takes a Loss

Baldwyn had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 7-6 to make it four. They lost 3-0 to the Wheeler Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Wheeler, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. The matchup marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

Wheeler was led to victory by Savannah Hancock and Marlee Hutcheson. Hancock had 26 digs, while Hutcheson had 19 assists and ten digs. Those 26 digs gave Hancock a new career-high.

Coming up, Baldwyn will be playing in front of their home fans against Walnut at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheeler, they will head out on the road to square off against Jumpertown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
