Carter was handed a seven-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Kaiser Cats 6-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-8 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Naveah Mora, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Vargas, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Carter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kaiser only posted a batting average of .250.

Carter is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Kaiser, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Carter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-1 victory against Colton on the 22nd. As for Kaiser, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-3 defeat against Summit on the 23rd.
