Volleyball Game Preview: Buchtel Griffins vs. East Dragons

The Buchtel Griffins will face off against the East Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buchtel will be strutting in after a victory while East will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Buchtel was able to grind out a solid win over Our Lady of the Elms, taking the game 3-1.

While Buchtel might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Our Lady of the Elms scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 19-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Lydia Scrutchings was the offensive standout of the contest as she had six aces.

Scrutchings wasn't the only good servers: Buchtel was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against North, falling 3-0.

Buchtel's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
