Football Recap: Chino Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Chino dropped to 3-5 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. The matchup between the Cowboys and the Los Altos Conquerors didn't end well, with the Cowboys falling 28-14. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Conquerors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Chino lost, don't look at Nathan Bull. Despite the final result, he rushed for 69 yards and a pair of TDs. Bull also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Cowboys are 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise. Christian Rodriguez also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.

Don't try to pin the team's loss on the defense: they kept the trenches locked down and allowed a mere 2.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Nathan Flores for the heroic effort on defense: he. Chino hasn't allowed more than 3.5 yards per carry in four consecutive contests.

As for Los Altos, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.1 points on average this season.
