Softball Recap: Paris Comes Up Short

If Paris was riding high fresh off their 18-1 takedown of Eminence last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greyhounds lost 13-1 to the Bracken County Polar Bears on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Greyhounds in their meetings with the Polar Bears: they've now lost seven in a row.

Paris saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kay Oliver, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Paris' loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Bracken County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Paris will square off against Mason County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bracken County, they have already played their next match, an 18-0 victory against Nicholas County on the 12th.
