Basketball Recap: Meadowdale Comes Up Short

Meadowdale lost against Dunbar back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Meadowdale Lions fell 57-49 to the Dunbar Wolverines.

Dunbar's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Justyce Taylor, who went 6 of 8 en route to 14 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of D'Marcus Dansby, who posted ten points in addition to eight assists and three steals.

Meadowdale dropped their record down to 6-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Dunbar, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Meadowdale has already played their next match, a 70-41 defeat against Wayne on the 25th. As for Dunbar, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-41 victory against Ponitz Career Tech on the 25th.
