Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Faith Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 24-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of Trinity Christian. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 22-19 to Trinity Christian when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the defeat, Faith Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sara Morgan Sapp posted eight points.

Trinity Christian can attribute much of their success to Ryan Yancey, who had 16 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Yancey has scored at least a third of Trinity Christian's points.

Faith Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Trinity Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Faith Christian Academy will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Heritage Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Christian, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Coastal HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
