Football Game Recap: Yellville-Summit vs. Melbourne

On Friday, Melbourne put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. Everything went their way against Yellville-Summit as they made off with a 47-14 victory. That result was just more of the same for Melbourne, who also won the last time these teams played.

The game started off well for Melbourne, whose offense put up 34 first-half points. Meanwhile, Yellville-Summit couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 34-0 heading into the break. Melbourne were outperformed in the second half 13-14 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The match pushed Yellville-Summit down to 1-3 and pulled Melbourne up to the reverse at 3-1.

Melbourne will look to defend their home turf next week against Clinton at 7:00 PM. Each team will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Melbourne skips in on three wins and Clinton on four. As for Yellville-Summit, they will face off against Harding Academy. Both of those teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
